LOTD: Sorority Blues

I wasn't going to post what I did today, but I really liked how the colors photographed. This is the first time I've used a couple of these blue colors, so it'll probably look a little cleaner when I attempt this again.
Since I'm graduating this semester, I figured I'd wear sorority letters all week.. the blue/yellow combo matches my shirt and sorority colors. =)

LOTD: Springtime!

It's been raining everyday for the past couple weeks.. even the days it looks like it won't, it still finds it's way here at least for a little bit. I decided to do something bright and cheerful today to go against how miserable it is outside. Also, it matched the sorority letters I'm wearing today. =)

LOTD: My Pretty Greens

I bought the color My Pretty a couple weeks ago from Beauty From The Earth but haven't really found the time to use it. I was reallyyyy excited when it came because the color was so cool (that and because its from their Wizard of Oz-some collection).. it's a black with TONS of green glitter. I also had a few GlamourDollEyes green shades that I had yet to use too, so I put them together and created a super-green look for yesterday.
Sometimes I fear using so many glitter-heavy pigments because I wear contacts and I've had accidents with makeup in the past (as in I got a piece of wood from an eyeliner stuck under my lid and had to go to the eyedoctor to get it out! haha yeah..) but I just make sure to be careful.
Okay, I'll stop rambling now. Check out the pictures. =)

LOTD: Radioactive Naturals

I really wanted to play around with some natural colors today, because it's a rarity for me.. but I'm a sucker for vibrant colors, so I had to do some funky liner underneath. This combo was a first for me and I thought it turned out really good. Comments are welcome! =)

LOTD: MAC Cutie Quad

I loved the look of this palette when it came out, but I was a little disappointed at how light the colors were (especially the pink).. I decided to try something different today to give the pink color a little kick, so I used a hot pink base and it worked like a charm! I am absolutely loving this look and plan to wear it a lot once I start working in Clinique next week. =)

LOTD: Glee Inspired && a thank you to Glamour Doll Eyes

My new Woot shirt came yesterday, so I attempted to do something that matched the colors that were in it. I basically don't wear the color orange (in fact, I think this is the only orange shirt I own), so I'm not used to how my eyes look with these colors.
It also reminds me of the yellow/orange/red logo for Glee, so I entered it into the Glamour Doll Eyes contest for April.

Speaking of GDE, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Vee for upgrading my last order and sending me full jars of 6 shadows that I had initially ordered in a sample size. It was completely unexpected and made my day. She sent a nice little note saying that she will sometimes do that for customers that she recognizes from previous orders, Facebook, Twitter, etc.. This is not something that she has to do, but does it out of the kindness of her heart (she already sends two sample baggies with orders). It's very obvious that she cares about her customers, which is refreshing after reading some of the hassles others have received from different online makeup companies. The customer service I have received from the 3 orders I've placed so far has been fantastic, the shadows that she creates are all beautiful and highly pigmented, and she's a very genuine and honest person with her business. As a (graduating) Public Relations major in college, I am always looking at the level of customer service I receive with orders - how long it takes to process/ship orders, honesty, response time, etc.. and I have not been able to find one negative thing to say about this company so far.
Also, since I've started wearing GDE's shadows, I have received a TON of compliments on my makeup - and that's always a way of keeping me around. I now have a large percentage of the colors in sample sizes and now that I've found a bunch of colors that I can't live without, I'll be starting to purchase more full-sized jars (once I graduate and can start making money again).
*** I am in no way affiliated with the company, this is just my personal opinions based on observations and previous orders.  I just feel like credit should be given where it's due. =)

One of these days, I may try to make a post of the colors that I'm in love with and can't live without. I'm slowly trying to get better at this blogging thing.. lol

Now for the pictures! =)

LOTD: Jailhouse Martini

This is how I am spending my Easter, playing with makeup as always. The plan was to avoid all types of social media today and get a large part of my 3 papers done (which are all due next week). Unfortunately, I am a slacker and haven't gotten much done. As soon as I post this, I'm getting offline and cracking the books. Two more weeks and I am completely done, so I just have to push through.

I just wanted to test out some of the new Glamour Doll shadows I got in my last order. This is the first time I've used most of these colors and, let me tell you - I LOVE these colors.
